Get Mobile Repairs, wherever you need them
Some repairs need a professional to perform them, but don’t necessarily need a service center. When that’s the case, we send a partnered mobile technician to wherever your RV is parked, so you don’t have to leave the campsite!
need a mobile repair?
Our mobile technician network covers most of the country, if you’ve got a problem you can’t fix yourself and don’t want to drive your rig into a service center, we’ll dispatch a mobile technician to your location.
They show up with parts, tools, and the diagnosis already done because we already ran through everything on your video call first! That alone shaves days off most repairs. Also, we’ll take care of your warranty submission, which is something most mobile technicians don’t handle on their own!
2,500 Technicians and counting
RVFix has one of the largest networks of Mobile RV Technicians in the world, with over 2,500 mobile technicians, handymen, and tradesmen across all 50 states and parts of Canada.
Our network is growing every single day as we constantly seek out high-quality mobile RV technicians as well as tradesmen and handymen who can correctly handle less RV-specific repairs.
What’s the Process?
1. We start with a tech call
Every mobile dispatch begins with an RVFix video call so we can diagnose your problem before the tech is sent out, often saving a trip back and forth for the mobile tech.
2. We handle parts & warranty
With the information from your video call, we can order any necessary parts and even submit your warranty claim, which most mobile techs won’t do.
3. The Mobile Tech Arrives
When the Tech arrives, they already have a diagnosis, the parts needed, and warranty authorization, so you usually don’t have to pay for a discovery trip.
4. Your RV gets repaired fast
Most mobile repairs wrap up in a single visit because of the preparation. If something does need a follow-up, we coordinate everything for you.
Why call RVFix first?
There are three main reasons to call RVFix before calling a mobile technician. Cost, warranty, and quality.
-
If you’ve used a mobile technician before, you know that it can get expensive quickly. When you call, they’ll charge you a flat fee to show up wherever you are, then charge you for a diagnosis, most likely leave to go get a part that they’ll charge you for, then charge you again for coming back, and charge you one more time for the repair. Ouch.
When you call RVFix first, you have a 40% chance of getting your problem fixed instantly and not needing a mobile technician at all. And if we don’t fix your problem instantly, we can either diagnose or narrow down your issue, figure out what parts are needed, and communicate all of that to the mobile technician before they arrive, cutting out an entire trip and diagnosis fee. Then we’ll go further by saving you $30/hr on the repair itself.
And you don’t have to worry about negotiating with the mobile technician. Before dispatching the technician, we quote the repair and the trip charges with you so you aren’t blindsided by the cost. When you agree to the price, we handle the transaction with you and then coordinate the payment with the mobile technician for you, so you never have to worry about working out a deal with the mobile tech. We keep all the financial transactions in one place that you can trust.
-
Did you know that many mobile technicians refuse to do warranty work? It can be a big hassle that many prefer to just not deal with at all. Don’t find out that they won’t process your warranty before they show up? They’ll still charge you for the trip.
RVFix will process your warranty while coordinating with the mobile technician, meaning they never have to touch it, but you still get your repair covered by warranty.
-
It’s no secret that mobile technicians are not all created equal. Many are friendly, knowledgeable, reliable, and professional, and many others fail to reach that same standard.
Searching around and reading through countless reviews to feel confident in whatever mobile tech you call can be a massive headache, especially when you’re also trying to stay within a budget and get your repair covered by warranty.
RVFix takes out the guesswork. We vet all of our partnered mobile technicians before we send them your way, so you can trust that when you get a mobile technician through RVFix, you are getting a quality technician that will be able to solve whatever problem you’re experiencing.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
If you choose to have a mobile technician sent to you to fulfill your repair, there are fulfillment charges associated with the technician. There is a base trip charge that mobile technicians require in order to make the trip out to wherever you are. The average trip charge cost is $190. They then have an hourly rate that averages around $230/hr.
If you have an RVFix membership, you do receive $30/hr off that hourly rate. We also help RVFix members get their warranties approved for the repair, which helps cover a portion of that labor rate depending on your warranty.
-
We wish we could fix 100% of problems over your first call, but unfortunately, there are just some repairs that require further diagnosis, new parts, or professional repair.
When you can’t make it to a service center, or simply don’t want to, we send a mobile technician straight to you, armed with the information from our video call and any necessary parts ready to install, so that your repair goes quickly and smoothly!
-
Our nationwide mobile technician network is extensive, and it is growing every day. Most of the time that someone needs a mobile tech, we are able to get one to them. However, depending on how far from civilization you’re camping, it may take some additional time for the mobile tech to arrive.
If your issue cannot be resolved over the tech call and there is no mobile technician available nearby in a timetable that works for you, we can often provide a temporary solution that will allow you to get mobile again so you can enjoy the rest of your camping trip, and we can schedule your repair for when you’ll be closer to a service center, or until a mobile technician can get to you. We will not leave you stranded without a plan for your repair. -
There are a few solutions where mobile repair isn’t the best way to get your RV fixed. One clear example is when the repair can be done quickly over a video call, saving you time and money. Another is when the repair involves specialized equipment or a more stable environment, like a service center. For example, many slide-out issues are best repaired on level ground in a repair center.
And of course, mobile repair isn’t the best solution if you decide you don’t want mobile repair! Whether it be for the cost, the timing, or a desire to perform the fix yourself, you are never forced to have a mobile technician sent to you when you go through RVFix. We may recommend it in certain scenarios, but the choice will always be up to you.
